Meet The New Interns

Magic. Stories. Passion. Inspired. Authentic.

These are just some of the words the new Magic in Motion interns have used to describe their feelings towards the film and television industry. Their placement in the Magic in Motion Academy positions them in the perfect place to live out these dreams.

M-Net’s Magic in Motion Academy recently inducted the new class of 2017. Headed by acclaimed filmmaker Bobby Heaney, the Academy was established to empower a new generation of film and TV professionals, equipping these rising stars with intensive practical experience to complement their theoretical tertiary education before they embark on their professional careers.

We caught up with some of the interns and asked them a few questions to get to know them a little better:

Monde Ndlumbini (24) is an AFDA graduate.

He is a proud South African and this makes him feel “Motivated, as there is so much space for growth.” He chose to be a part of the Magic in Motion Academy because “The escape is magic to me.”

Michelle Dezulovic (24) holds a Bachelor of Arts (Dramatic Arts) degree from the University of the Witwatersrand. She said she is “…both lucky enough to be surrounded by the most unique untold stories and optimally placed to tell these stories.”

I chose the Magic in Motion Academy because…

Nandisa Mkize (23) graduated from UCT with a BA in Film & TV, Media & Writing, English Literature. “I want to be a part of something great.”

Siwongiwe Jozana (25) believes that Academy “…will help me on my journey of creating and promoting a truly South African identity.”

The Magic of M-Net means to me…

Ean Bezuidenhout(23) graduated from The University of the Free State. “Bringing a wide variety of content to a vast and diverse audience.”
Christopher Mashile (24) studied at the University of Limpopo. “The world is far too big for me to dream and think small.”
Kevin Moeketsi (23) studied film and television production at the Tshwane University of Technology. “It’s a world of impossibilities.”

Film and television has been a part of their lives from an early age, and after getting a taste of the magic pursuing a career within film and television was the the next step to a great foundation on which to build a magical life.

Because with magic, anything is possible.
